I used this for several months while recovering from Achilles surgery. Very sturdy and well made. Was able to travel over parking lots and similar surfaces. Wouldn’t recommend for grass or uneven surfaces because it can be a little tippy. It is fairly heavy to lift into vehicle, especially if you are not allowed to bear weight on both legs.

I first ordered this scooter when I had foot surgery, but my house is small and the wheels were very large and it was heavy. It is better for using outside. Excellently made & came quickly, but decided to buy one that you just use inside. I have a smaller house so I needed one that had smaller wheels and it worked outside as well.

This knee walker is very well built and large wheels make using it so much easier.

I can navigate safely through my house. I bought this because I was having ankle surgery and would have to be completely off my foot for 2 months. Doctor’s office rents something similar for $180 for ten days. So it was much cheaper to purchase. I ordered it a week before my surgery and used it a few days to learn how to manoeuvre the scooter around the house and the best way to get in and out of the bathroom. This scooter was excellent quality.

I bought this scooter several months ago in anticipation of foot surgery. I needed something that would not only get me around in the house but also get me back and forth to my barn to care for my horse.

It is lightweight and easy to manoeuvre inside. It is well made and my son had no trouble putting it together. It’s not the easiest to manoeuvre on grass or gravel but with practice, it’s not too bad. I don’t think any scooter of this type would do any better though.

I have found that by putting my knee toward the back of the knee pad, and just taking my time, it is easier to get through grass and gravel. I don’t believe any scooter like this has the ability to travel smoothly over rough terrain, but this one comes close. I’ve had no worries about tipping over at all.

The bag in the front is awesome. I use it to transport ice bags, snacks, phone, books, etc. and it has a side pouch for liquids.

It does fold down somewhat to put inside a car and because it is so lightweight, I have no trouble doing that, and I’m pushing 70.

The brakes work great but I have not needed to use them.

I would definitely purchase another one of these if needed.

Everyone who has ever used a knee scooter will tell you it’s a game changer over crutches. I’m now firmly in that category, too. I had two weeks of no weight bearing post foot surgery. I’m a busy professional with a family, pets, etc. I can’t really just sit around and do nothing even though that would have been nice. This thing enabled me to do more and to do more comfortably. I used it for everything from going to the bathroom to going grocery shopping. I chose this particular scooter because it was cheap and had a bag. The bag was SUPER necessary.

So you really do need a place to put stuff when you are scooting. It also allowed me to help with the grocery shopping. Someone else pushed the cart while I zipped around collecting items in my basket. As far as the folding goes…don’t expect to transform into some tiny little thing. Basically, the steering column folds down. That’s it. Makes it easy to fit it into a car, but it’s not tiny when it’s folded up.

I would recommend this to friends and family.

We were happy to see that this had easy assembly. It’s been used by my husband and several of our neighbours. It’s the perfect size and the ability to fold it down makes it fit into anyone’s trunk or back of an SUV.

The knee scooter arrived quickly, and packaged well. It’s was very easy to assemble, with No tools required. I ordered this for my fractured foot, and wear a soft cast.

It folds up easily, and fits in the backseat of my very small car. This is my 2nd scooter, and by far easier to fold, and well designed vs the other model I first purchased in 2016.

Great scooter!!! I broke my ankle and had surgery and this scooter has been the best thing to give me some independence. I wasn’t steady on crutches and a walker was exhausting and didn’t give me the independence to do what I needed. My doctor said this was a fancy one and he liked the wheels were larger than on other scooters. It’s all made and very sturdy.

With a broken ankle, I had to stay off my right leg completely for 6 weeks. This scooter is so easy to get around the house on both carpet and hardwood, Extremely manoeuvrable forward and back. I love this scooter, thank you!

Fast shipping. Think we got it 2 days after ordering. The best part was that assembly took less than 30 minutes. Works great! Would give it 10 stars if I could.

I absolutely hate crutches. I used this after my achilles surgery and this was a lifesaver. I am lucky to not have too many stairs to climb up, but it is not too difficult to climb with. I did buy some Velcro straps and attached my crutches to the handles to help me when the scooter couldn’t go certain places and that helped. Would recommend traveling with a family member or friend to help you lift it if you are not strong enough. Absolutely helped me stay independent while recovering from my surgery. You will not regret this.

I got this scooter after breaking my ankle and foot and being put in a medical boot. Oh my goodness it’s been wonderful!!! I messed up my arms and wrists really bad after being on crutches for 2 weeks and this little helper has made a huge difference. I use it for any movement and even take it in the bathroom to shower and relieve myself. The knee pad is good and sturdy but if you try to kneel on it for a long time your knees will start hurting. Be careful when going over uneven surfaces. I’m able to manoeuvre this over porch thresholds and such but it requires extreme caution to not damage the scooter or your limbs. I’ve used this every day for over a month now and it’s truly a blessing over crutches.

We bought this when my wife broke her ankle and foot. It helped out a lot around the house and if we had to go out somewhere. It’s good quality and sturdy has a hand brake which she did use a lot. The front bag was nice for her stuff and held quite a bit . The seat had enough cushion that it didn’t bother her knee and was comfortable. The weight of it isn’t bad, it is lighter than i thought it would be.

It was easy to put together, and the handle bars fold down in case you would want to put it in a trunk of a car. If you want it to fold all the way down you will have to remove the seat which only takes a minute buy taking out a hand screw. When steering it doesn’t turn super far but enough to make a turn, i think it doesn’t turn real tight so you don’t tip it over. Sometimes she would have to pick up the back end in tight spaces. I would recommend it. Nice quality and nice price also.

I recently had a large toe fusion. No weight on foot for 5-6 weeks. My physician specifically preferred I order this knee roller. He said it was better for floor transitions (tile to carpet). It didn’t tip over easily. I’m 74 and really needed the surgery. I tire out easily trying to get around but no tipping. My knee gets very tired using the knee roller but this would be with any knee roller. This one is definitely sturdy.

I bought this after breaking my heel and finding out I won’t be walking for at least four months. It’s easy to set up, sturdily built and is a massive upgrade to using crutches. As many have stated, it has a wide turn radius, but a wider footprint makes it much more sturdy, so it’s an easy compromise. It is also light enough that if you’re stuck needing to do an Austin Powers 32-point turn, you could pick it up and flip it around quickly.

I have a couple of minor gripes:
    – First, the brakes are metal strips that rub against the rear wheels, so it doesn’t exactly stop on a dime.
    – Second, the wheels are hard plastic, which makes them unforgiving on bumps. Our hardwood floors have transition strips between some rooms, and those little bumps can lead to hard vibrations.

Of course, you could move a little slower, and neither of these would be an issue.

I tore ligaments in my foot and using crutches has been miserable! My husband put this together for me today and it’s great! I can move around fast and carry things in the basket. The handlebars and leg rest are both adjustable. This is a “must have” while you heal!

Bought this for my mom who fell and broke her ankle. She wanted something sturdy and not easy to tip. This has a wider wheel base so It makes her feel much more comfortable and safe while using this product versus the one her insurance company got her. Good purchase and was a great value for the money. I did get lucky and found this item on sale at the time I needed.

I was put on crutches but they caused extreme back pain. This has been a lifesaver! I am a teacher and scooter all over the school. It came quickly, my husband was able to quickly assemble. I have a van so I don’t have to fold it, but it is foldable, but seems a little tricky. Love the bag on the front and the wide front wheel base. Breaks work well when you get going to fast, which is easy on smooth flooring :). I also use the leg rest as a seat then I need to take a break. I have used it for two months with no concerns.

  22. Tammy Geissmann

    Pros
    -sturdy
    -comfortable
-good height adjustment for patients up to 6 feet tall
    -easy to assemble

    Cons
    -large box and heavy packaging
-leg rest is too short for longer shins/legs
-if you are the injured person in question, you will need help moving box or risk injuring yourself further

I would give 4 stars, were it not for the way it was packaged. I have no friends or family that live close by, so it was very difficult to try to move the box into the apartment and assemble on my own. I’m extremely happy with it, otherwise, as it affords a lot more freedom and physical comfort than my crutches.

I had both feet operated on this summer and I would not have healed nearly as quickly had I not had this scooter. It is well-made, sturdy, smooth, and easy to put together and adjust. Well worth the price. Turns well in a small space, steers easily and has a handy basket.
