The device creates a negative pressure (vacuum) that draws fluids through disposable tubing that is connected to a collection bottle. The fluids are trapped in the collection bottle for proper disposal. It is for use on the order of a physician only.
DSU 7, DJMed suction unit higher vacuum levels are generally selected for oropharyngeal suctioning, and lower vacuum levels are usually selected for tracheal suctioning and for suctioning procedures involving children and infants.

This Ultra quiet suction unit is amazing. I have needed to use many suction units over the years and this is fantastic to use and so quiet. It is very similar in sound to my continuous fish tank filter running.

We also have devilbiss VacuAide 7314 quiet unit. It sounds like a fright train compared to this one.
Also at max setting it very responsive and capable of pulling very think liquids. Like one of the large surgery units. I guess you get what you pay for. This is a real game changer.
